GMG Racing set the pace Wednesday across a pair of IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge practice sessions at Daytona International Speedway.

Andrew Davis’ best lap of 1:55.867 in the No. 14 Audi R8 LMS GT4 in Practice 1 narrowly edged the No. 28 RS1 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Dillon Machavern and Spencer Pumpelly which topped the charts in Practice 2.

The RS1 car hit trouble later in the second practice, bringing out a brief red flag with around ten minutes remaining in the session.

Automatic Racing was third on the combined time charts with the No. 99 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 driven by Al Carter, Aurora Straus, and Steven Phillips.

Roy Block and Pierre Kleinubing were fastest of the TCR class runners in the No. 75 Audi RS3 LMS TCR for Compass Racing, while the Mat Pombo and Mike LaMarra-driven No. 73 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW set the pace in ST.

Practice 3 is scheduled for 10:40 a.m. Thursday morning with qualifying to follow for Friday’s four-hour BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona.
