Lazare Scores Commanding Road America Pole

Jesse Lazare continued his chart-topping form at Road America on Saturday morning, qualifying on pole for this afternoon’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race.

The Motorsports In Action driver recorded a best time of 2:13.840 in the No. 69 McLaren Artura GT4 to outpace the competition by nearly seven-tenths.

Jaden Conwright in the No. 50 Hattori Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO was second quickest, thanks to a 2:14.538 lap time, with Trent Hindman qualifying third in the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

The No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang GT4 of Gavin Sanders was fourth quickest, with Paul Holton completing the top-five in the No. 46 Team TGM Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

TCR saw Dai Yoshihara claim pole again in his No. 93 Montreal Motorsport Group Honda Civic FL5 TCR, outpacing the No. 98 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Mason Filippi by four-tenths.

Harry Gottsacker qualified third in the sister No. 33 BHA Hyundai.

The TCR qualifying session ended under a red flag after the No. 6 MMG Honda of Jon Brel drove off course in Turn 6.

The Road America 120 gets underway at 1:45 p.m. CDT with live coverage on Peacock and IMSA Radio.
