Van der Steur Racing has joined forces with apparel brand Trashboy to create a special, children-designed livery for its Aston Martin Vantage GT4 that will run in next weekend’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
The No. 19 car, which will be driven by Rory van der Steur and Austin McCusker, will carry artwork created by Trashboy founder Courtney Reynolds’ three children.
Reynolds explained the brand was initially inspired by her son’s love of ‘trash trucks’ but has now expanded into all of her children’s interests, including motorsports.
“I am thrilled to partner with Courtney Reynolds and her brand,” said Rory van der Steur. “The team is always looking for new ways to bring creativity and innovation to the track, and working with Courtney has allowed us to do just that.
“We can’t wait to see our car on the track at Laguna Seca and show off the unique design that Trashboy has inspired.”
Reynolds added: “It’s an honor to collaborate with van der Steur Racing and have my children’s artwork inspire such a beautiful car. I never imagined that my kids’ art would be featured on a race car. I’m excited to see the car in action at Laguna Seca!”
