Bruni Quickest in Final Practice at Detroit

Proton Competition Porsche 963 quickest in final 20-minute practice session…

Gianmaria Bruni was quickest in the final practice session prior to this afternoon’s Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic, leading the way for Proton Competition.

The Italian reeled off a best lap of 1:05.899 in his No. 5 Porsche 963 to outpace Ricky Taylor’s No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Acura ARX-06 by 0.379 seconds.

Nick Tandy was third quickest in the pole-sitting No. 6 Penske Porsche, meanwhile.

Alexander Sims posted the quickest lap in GTD Pro in the 20-minute session, which ran without any major incidents.

The 100-minute IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship sprint race takes the green at 3:10 p.m. EDT with live coverage on USA Network, Peacock and IMSA Radio.
