Louis Deletraz led the way in the second and final practice session ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti driver reeled off a best lap of 1:15.422 lap time to edge out the No. 7 Penske Porsche 963 of Felipe Nasr by 0.282 seconds.

Nasr, who led the majority of the 90-minute session, made a late-session improvement, although the Brazilian remained in second.

Romain Grosjean put the No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini SC63 a season-best third quickest, ahead of a late improvement by Ricky Taylor to place fourth in the No. 10 WTRAndretti Acura following an overnight MGU change.

The No. 6 Penske Porsche of Mathieu Jaminet completed the top-five despite an apparent electrical issue that saw the Frenchman stop on track and limp back to the pits.

LMP2 was topped by the No. 2 United Autosports Oreca 07 Gibson of Ben Hanley, who bumped points leader Tom Dillmann from the top of the time charts in the closing moments of the session.

Laurin Heinrich paced GTD Pro in the No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, which ended the session with a best lap of 1:23.424.

Heinrich was 0.092 seconds quicker than the No. 23 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo that’s co-driven by title rival Ross Gunn. Alex Riberas set the time in the session.

The No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 of Daniel Serra was third quickest in class.

GTD Pro cars occupied the top seven positions, with the No. 86 MDK Motorsports Porsche of Anders Fjordbach ending up quickest in GTD.

The session saw only a single red flag with the No. 55 Proton Competition Ford Mustang GT3 of Giammarco Levorato spun in Turn 3 and stopped on track.

Qualifying gets underway at 3:40 p.m. EDT with live coverage on Peacock and IMSA.tv.
