IMSA has made multiple Balance of Performance adjustments in the GTD ranks ahead of this weekend’s Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Issued in a technical bulletin on Tuesday, the latest adjustments see a 20 kg increase in minimum weight for the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, BMW M4 GT3 and Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020.
The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, meanwhile, gets a 20 kg weight break.
Aston Martin claimed victories in both GTD Pro and GTD classes in last weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen following post-race drive time infraction penalties issued to the No. 25 Team RLL BMW and No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
Risi Competizione’s Ferrari of Daniel Serra and Davide Rigon finished second in GTD Pro, meanwhile.
There have been no BoP changes made to the DPi class for the first time this season, with the IMSA technical committee having aimed for stability in the class for the remainder of the season.
