Iron Lynx has confirmed the majority of its driver lineups for the Italian squad’s three-car Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 effort in January’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The team will take part in its second consecutive Michelin Endurance Cup season, beginning at Daytona with GTD Pro and GTD class entries ahead the anticipated U.S. debut of the Lamborghini SC63 GTP class car at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Its GTD Pro entry at Daytona will feature an all-factory lineup of Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper, Andrea Caldarelli and Franck Perera, who moves over from the team’s GTD entry from this year.
The No. 60 GTD Lamborghini, meanwhile, will be driven by Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni, alongside two yet-to-be-announced co-drivers, with the Iron Dames’ entry featuring Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Rahel Frey and a fourth to-be-confirmed female driver for the season-opener.
“We are very excited to return to the United States, as we enjoyed racing in the IMSA SportScar Championship very much this year,” said team principal Andrea Piccini.
“There, we found ourselves learning a completely different way of racing with a paddock that made us feel very welcome.
“We are really looking forward to going back to start racing in 2024 with a great race such as the 24 Hours of Daytona with our three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 cars.
“The team will take a short and well-deserved break over December and we will be more than ready to hit the track once again.”
