JDC-Miller Motorsports has named Tijmen van der Helm, Till Bechtolsheimer, Luca Mars and Mason Filippi to its LMP3 entry for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Minnesota-based squad will focus efforts on a single Duqueine D08 Nissan for the start of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season as it awaits delivery of its Porsche 963, which is not due until late April.

While having primarily focused its efforts on the DPi class in recent years, JDC-Miller has also been a stalwart competitor with LMP3 machinery, notably in the now-defunct IMSA Prototype Challenge. It also made a single WeatherTech Championship start at Road America last year with a car for Gerry Kraut and Scott Andrews.

“We are fortunate to have a strong LMP3 Program for the 2023 Rolex 24 while we wait for the Porsche 963 to be delivered.” said team co-owner John Church.

“We are very excited to welcome Tijmen, Till, Luca and Mason to our program. We have assembled a great driver lineup to compete for the LMP3 class win. We know the car very well and certainly have the experience to execute well in the race.”

Drivers beyond the Rolex 24 have not been confirmed, but Church previously told Sportscar365 that it’s the team’s intention to continue the LMP3 program for Michelin Endurance Cup races at a minimum.

Fellow future Porsche 963 customer Proton Competition will also be fielding a prototype at Daytona but in the LMP2 ranks.
