The iconic Liqui Moly colors will be seen in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this year, with the German oil company having inked a deal with Turner Motorsport.
Turner’s BMW M6 GT3 will carry an eye-catching red, white and blue design in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
It marks the company’s largest sponsorship deal in North America that will also see Liqui Moly become the official lubricant supplier to the team.
“Liqui Moly is a dream partner,” said Will Turner. “Without a premium and proven oil, success in endurance racing is not possible.
“The products we use in our race cars must withstand extreme conditions and Liqui Moly can do just that.
“Liqui Moly offers a complete line of all products we use at the track, in our race shop, and in our exclusively BMW service center , making this partnership much more valuable.”
Yount, Kvamme Set to Join Team
While Turner has yet to confirm its lineup for Daytona, Mark Kvamme and Don Yount are expected to feature in the BMW alongside factory driver Jens Klingmann.
The two Prototype Challenge veterans tested Turner’s BMW at the Roar Before the 24, with an eye towards making their GT Daytona class debuts in the race.
The team’s fourth driver for the season opener remains unclear.
