Milner Tops Rain-Affected Practice 2 at Lime Rock

Tommy Milner led the way in the second practice session of the day at Lime Rock Park, which was impacted by a lengthy red flag for weather.

Milner took his No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R to a best lap of 50.961 seconds following a 45-minute stoppage for lightning in the area amid a downpour that soaked the 1.5-mile circuit.

The pair of Corvettes ended the session 1-2 overall with Zach Robichon’s 52.380 lap time in the No. 9 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, set prior to the red, holding as quickest of the GT Daytona competitors.

GT Le Mans cars were not yet on track prior to the stoppage.

The session was restarted with 16 minutes remaining in wet but drying track conditions, with the Corvettes some of the only cars to transition to Michelin slick tires.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 5:15 p.m. ET.
