Siegel to Sub for Balogh in Jr III LMP3 Entry at Indy

Nolan Siegel will sub for Ari Balogh at Jr III Racing in this weekend’s Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Siegel, who join full season driver Garett Grist in the No. 30 Ligier JS P320 Nissan, raced with the team last year as part of its Michelin Endurance Cup lineup, and has 12 starts at Indianapolis in open wheel competition in USF 2000, USF PRO 2000 and most recently Indy NXT.

Balogh is unavailable this weekend as he “attends to a family matter” according to a team statement.

“I’m really excited to be back with Jr III,” said Siegel. “We had a lot of good times last year and it’s an amazing group of people. I’m really looking forward to working with everyone again.

“I’ve done a lot of laps at Indy and it’s always a special experience crossing the yard of bricks. Doing it with Garett and all the guys and girls at Jr III will make it that much better.”

The team’s No. 30 Ligier, which has scored two second-place class finishes this year, will again be joined by the No. 29 car, which will be driven at Indy by VP Racing SportsCar Challenge standout Bijoy Garg and Guilherme de Oliveira.
