Winward Racing will continue in the the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD class next year, it has been confirmed.

The Texas-based outfit will once again field its No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in 2025, with drivers for the effort to be confirmed at a later date.

Winward currently leads the GTD standings with two rounds remaining after it won four out of the first five races including the Rolex 24 at Daytona and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Cadillac.

The team becomes the first squad in the GTD category to have its entry for 2025 officially confirmed by IMSA, which follows earlier GTP confirmations from the likes of BMW and Cadillac as well as the continuation of Ford Multimatic Motorsports’ two-car GTD Pro effort.
