Wayne Taylor Racing and Prestige Performance have announced their driver lineup for the 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season with a mixture of new and returning names.

Former Mazda DPi driver Tom Long and U.S Formula 4 graduate Aidan Yoder have signed with the team and will co-drive with the returning Ashton Harrison and Jordan Missig respectively.

After placing fourth last year, Danny Formal and Kyle Marcelli are continuing in the No. 1 Pro-class entry while Randy Sellari is back for another season competing in Am.

All four entries are being made with the new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2.

Both Harrison and Missig are moving up to a higher category in the IMSA-sanctioned series for the six-round 2022 season.

Harrison finished second in the Am standings last year and is now entered in Pro-Am, while Missig has stepped up from Pro-Am to the headline Pro category where Wayne Taylor Racing and Prestige Performance will now field a pair of Lamborghinis.

Harrison and her new Super Trofeo co-driver Long, who turns 40 today, were recently confirmed alongside Marcelli in a Racers Edge-run GTD Pro Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Like Harrison, Missig was also a solo competitor last season but will share the driving load for his graduation to Pro as Yoder comes on board for his GT racing debut.

“Prestige Performance is entering our eighth season competing in the North America Lamborghini Super Trofeo series,” said Chris Turner, President of Prestige Performance Racing.

“We continue to enjoy a great relationship with Wayne Taylor Racing who consistently delivers amazing results on track.

“We have found that our on-track experience and focus has a direct effect on our daily business. We are proud to continue representing Lamborghini as the development of our race cars continues to influence the customer street cars.”

Travis Houge, VP and General Manager of Wayne Taylor Racing, added: “Wayne Taylor Racing is excited to be returning to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo grid with the same driver line up as 2021 as well as with plans to announce new faces in the very near future.

“This series is exploding and with the new Lamborghini EVO2 on deck, the racing Is going to be exciting.

“WTR entered into this venture with Prestige Performance in 2015, with a mutual commitment to win races, win championships and to build a program where drivers could learn, be challenged and supported in their advancement.

“Our vision is strong, working and gives us the edge on track and the momentum to have a fantastic year.”

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season kicks off at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on April 29-May 1.
