Robert Noaker continued his perfect run in points-paying Mustang Challenge qualifying sessions on Saturday at Circuit of The Americas, scoring pole for the first race of the weekend at the Lone Star Le Mans event.
The Robert Noaker Racing team owner/driver grabbed his ninth consecutive pole, driving his No. 13 Ford Mustang Dark Horse R to a best lap of 2:16.519.
It was 1.218 seconds quicker than the No. 18 McCumbee McAleer Racing entry of Marcos Vento, who qualified second.
Devin Anderson will line up third overall and in the Dark Horse class in his No. 22 TechSport Mustang, with Sam Paley and Britt Casey Jr. completing the top-five, all in the DH class.
Dark Horse Legends pole honors went to the No. 48 MMR entry of Zachry Lee, thanks to a 2:18.851 lap time.
Lee outpaced Spark Performance’s Alex Bachoura and TechSport driver Alfonso Diaz for the class pole.
The first Mustang Challenge race of the weekend gets underway at 4:40 p.m. CST with live coverage on Peacock as well as IMSA and Ford Performance’s YouTube channels.
