***A total of 35 cars are set for this weekend’s 11th and 12th rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by The Cayman Islands season, with the entry nearly doubling since the series’ trip North of the Border to the streets of Toronto.

***PJ Hyett has been a late addition to the field, with the Naperville, Ill. resident joining the Pro-Am class in a Kelly-Moss Porsche. Moisey Uretsky, meanwhile, has been confirmed in the No. 44 Accelerating Performance Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

***Among the returning teams include Irish Mike’s Racing, which was one of several teams to have tested at the four-mile Wisconsin circuit prior to this weekend.

***Pro-Am class driver Craig Conway said: “We had a pretty good test at Road America, and we learned some things. We’re heading in the right direction, so we’re looking for continued improvement. We’ve got to keep chopping away. I want to be able to run decent in the class and be competitive, and we’re getting it done.”

***The No. 24 Premier Racing Porsche of Adam Adelson is absent this weekend due to the clashing GT America powered by AWS event on the streets of Nashville this weekend. Adelson in the contention for the GT4 class championship in the SRO America-run series aboard a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

***Trenton Estep became the fourth driver to win overall in series’ history, joining Sebastian Priaulx, Kay van Berlo and Parker Thompson and was also the first American driver to do so.

***Van Berlo and Thompson both took wins at Road America last year, in Race 1 and 2 respectively. The two drivers run 1-2 in the Pro class championship, with the Florida-based Dutchman now holding a 52-point lead.

***Efrin Castro gained ground on Alan Metni in Toronto and now sites just 16 points behind Metni in Pro-Am, while Mark Kvamme’s sitting out of the Toronto weekend has meant that Bill Smith now leads the Am class, with John Goetz moving into second.

***Road America is the home track for Kelly-Moss. The Madison, Wis.-based team has brought nine cars, spread across all three classes. The operation owned by husband-wife duo Andy Kilcoyne and Victoria Thomas has also entered the a GT4-spec Porsche in Michelin Pilot Challenge for David Brule and Alec Udell, which topped Thursday’s opening practice session.

***Kelly-Moss accounts for 14 of the possible 30 class wins this season. MDK has claimed seven victories, while JDX Racing and Topp Racing each have three and Mark Motors, Nolasport and Wright Motorsport all have one class win each.

***A total of 47 Porsche-built race cars are competing at Road America across three of the four IMSA-sanctioned series in action this weekend: WeatherTech Championship, Pilot Challenge and Carrera Cup North America.

***Qualifying is set to get underway Friday at 1:35 p.m. CT with Race 1 of the weekend set for a 8:50 a.m. CT (9:50 a.m. ET) start on Saturday, with live coverage on Peacock, IMSA.tv and PorscheCarreraCup.us, featuring commentary from the IMSA Radio team. Race 2 takes the green flag Sunday at 8:20 a.m. CT (9:20 a.m. ET).
