Alex Sedgwick paced the second Porsche Carrera Cup North America practice session of the day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Sedgwick reeled off a best lap of 1:26.925 in Thursday afternoon’s session at The Brickyard in the No. 98 PT Autosport-backed JDX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
While it paced the session, Jimmy Llibre’s 1:26.467 set in opening practice was the quickest of the day.
Llibre slotted in seconds quickest in Practice 2, thanks to a 1:26.930 in his No. 2 ACI Motorsports Porsche, followed by Era Motorsport’s Dan Clarke in third.
Zachary Vanier and Ryan Yardley completed the top-five for JDX and Topp Racing Performance, respectively, with Loek Hartog an uncharacteristic sixth in the Pro class points-leading No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche.
Alan Metni was quickest in Pro-Am, while Chris Bellomo also continued to lead the way in the Masters class.
The session saw a red flag for the No. 65 Kellymoss Porsche of Efrin Castro, who had an incident in Turn 7.
Action resumed with less than five minutes left on the clock although there were no notable improvements.
Qualifying is set for a 9:35 a.m. EDT start on Friday, with Race 1 taking the green flag at 3 p.m. EDT later in the day, featuring live coverage on Peacock, IMSA.tv and PorscheCarreraCup.Us
