Loek Hartog stormed to his sixth pole of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season in qualifying for Race 1 of the weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Dutchman in the Pro championship-leading No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car reeled off a best lap of 1:25.159 to edge out Thursday’s pace-setting No. 2 ACI Motorsports entry of Jimmy Llibre by 0.197 seconds.

Ryan Yardley qualified third in the No. 78 Topp Racing Performance Porsche, followed by the PT Autosport-backed JDX Racing entry of Alex Sedgwick and the No. 64 Era Motorsport machine of Dan Clarke, who completed the top-five.

The No. 88 Baby Bull Racing Porsche of Michael Cooper will roll off sixth for Race 1, meanwhile.

The session came to an early end with less than two minutes left on the clock following an incident for Madeline Stewart’s No. 82 JDX Porsche in Turn 4.

Alan Metni claimed Pro-Am class pole in the No. 99 Kellymoss Porsche, while top qualifying honors in the Masters category went to Chris Bellomo, also of Kellymoss.

Race 1 for Carrera Cup North America takes the green flag a 3 p.m. EDT with live coverage on Peacock, IMSA.tv and PorscheCarreraCup.us.
