Yardley Tops COTA Practice

Ryan Yardley led the way in the one-and-only Porsche Carrera Cup North America practice session prior to qualifying for this weekend’s season-ending rounds at Circuit of The Americas.

The Topp Racing Performance driver reeled off a best time of 2:07.860 in his No. 78 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to edge out Zachary Vanier’s No. 9 JDX Racing entry by 0.056 seconds.

Champion-elect Loek Hartog was third quickest in the No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche, with Alex Sedgwick and Dan Clarke completing the top-five for JDX/PT Autosport and Era Motorsport, respectfuly.

Alan Metni topped the Pro-Am ranks in his No. 99 Kellymoss Porsche, thanks to a 2:08.868 lap time that put him seventh overall.

Masters was led by the No. 68 Kellymoss entry of Chris Bellomo, meanwhile.

Qualifying is set for 9:50 a.m. CDT on Saturday, with Race 1 taking the green flag later that day at 3:40 p.m. with live coverage on PorscheCarreraCup.us, Peacock and IMSA.tv.
