Heavy rain affected Friday morning’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship practice session at Road Atlanta.

Only a single car set a time in the 60-minute session, which was interrupted twice for red flags for track inspection and an off-course excursion for the car that did venture onto the flooded 2.54-mile circuit.

The No. 19 Muehlner Motorsports Porsche 911 GT America completed seven laps, with a best time of 2:08.335, set by Daniel Lloyd. He then promptly ran off-course in Turn 1, which brought out a red flag.

The No. 8 Starworks Motorsport Oreca FLM09 of Renger van der Zande completed an installation lap, while the No. 73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche appeared in pit lane but neither set times.

With rain expected to remain in the Atlanta area for the remainder of the day, it’s unclear if IMSA will cancel qualifying, which is scheduled to get underway at 4:20 p.m. ET.

Should qualifying be canceled, the grid for tomorrow’s Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda will be set according to team owner points.

RESULTS: Practice 4
