Kingpin Racing has signed Jon Brel as its driver for the 2026 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season, which kicks off next weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

Brel, who made his series debut in last year’s season-ending rounds at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, highlighted by a GSX class podium finish in Race 2, will step up to a full season program in one of the team’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2s.

“This is next level – IMSA is competitive and well respected,” said Brel. “Kingpin isn’t just a ride — it’s a crew, engineers, strategists, mechanics all pulling together.

“That shared drive, that trust in everyone doing their job, is energizing. You’re not alone out there — you’re backed.”

Team principal Tyler Hoffman added: “Jon started with us in our WRL driver development program and quickly made his IMSA [GSX] debut at Petit last year with two podium results.

“Jon shows up early, stays late, does his homework and gets the job done. He is the exact kind of guy you want on your team. He’s quickly become a big part of our program and I am looking forward to an exciting year.”
