Jamie Chadwick will continue as part of Genesis Magma Racing’s ‘Trajectory Program’ for a second consecutive year, despite not having been promoted to a race seat in the Korean manufacturer’s debuting Hypercar effort in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Chadwick, who along with co-drivers Dani Juncadella and Mathys Jaubert finished third in the European Le Mans Series LMP2 championship following a season-high three class wins in the IDEC Sport-run Oreca 07 Gibson, is set to continue for another season in ELMS competition, following confirmation that the trajectory program will also remain in place for next year.

The program, which involved up to 17 Genesis team members over the six-round ELMS campaign, and 30 crew for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, provided a test bed for the manufacturer ahead of its foray into the WEC Hypercar class next year.

Among that number were engineers, including race engineers and strategists, mechanics from Hyundai Motorsport’s FIA World Rally Championship and other personnel who will work together on the WEC pit wall in 2026.

“Since the beginning of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Program, we targeted top five results, and challenging for podiums,” said Genesis Magma Racing sporting director Gabriele Tarquini. “We have far exceeded that with three race wins from six races, and some other great individual and team performances.”

Genesis Magma Racing team principal Cyril Abiteboul added: “To be as successful as we want we need to be disruptive in our decisions. That is exactly how we went into selecting our Trajectory drivers. Their success has shown that this approach can deliver results and surprise the established teams and drivers.”

While Juncadella and Jaubert will graduate to the manufacturer’s new WEC program, the Trajectory Program will continue for at least another season.

“A key point of the Trajectory Program for our drivers was to assess them and see whether they were at the level to step up to WEC,” explained Tarquini.

“We immediately saw the potential from the first tests. The results on track and, more importantly the progress they made every round was great to see and made it an easy decision to welcome Mathys and Dani to our WEC team for 2026.”

Genesis has yet to confirm the final two race seats for its expected six-driver roster in the WEC, with Paul Loup-Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Stoffel Vandoorne have all been linked at various stages to the final seats, although Vandoorne’s new deal with Jaguar in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is believed to have ruled him out of a drive in one of the Genesis GMR-001 Hypercars.

Details on Chadwick’s racing program, meanwhile, will be announced at a later date according to a statement from the manufacturer.
