Paul-Loup Chatin will return to IDEC Sport’s LMP2 lineup in the European Le Mans Series, rejoining the team after a year’s absence.

The Frenchman was confirmed on Thursday to be part of the driver crew for the No. 28 Oreca 07 Gibson, driving alongside Paul Lafargue and Job van Uitert.

Chatin had initially departed IDEC at the end of last year ahead of his step up to join Alpine’s FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program and made a handful of ELMS appearances with CLX Motorsport across the 2024 season.

By rejoining the Nicolas Minassian-led outfit, Chatin returns to rekindle a seven-year relationship that previously included the LMP2 title in 2019.

Van Uitert, meanwhile, remains part of the team after initially signing on last year, while Lafargue returns as the mandatory Silver-rated driver after he stepped away after two rounds for personal reasons.

IDEC will head into next year’s ELMS campaign as part of a new partnership with Genesis that will see the Korean manufacturer utilize the team for the development of its mechanics and crew ahead of the debut of its LMDh program.

Its newly added second car will be driven by Mathys Jaubert, Jamie Chadwick and Logan Sergeant.
