Giedo van der Garde has been confirmed for the full European Le Mans Series season and 24 Hours of Le Mans with Jota Sport.
The Dutchman, who raced in 19 Formula 1 races with Caterham in 2013, is set to make his racing debut with the team at the first round of the season at Silverstone.
Van der Garde will partner Simon Dolan in the team’s Gibson 015S-Nissan, with the name of the third driver yet to be confirmed by the British team.
In his own announcement Van der Garde mentioned Harry Tincknell will join the team again in 2016.
In addition to the ELMS and Le Mans, Jota will also compete in the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa.

“In F1 I was competing in the highest level of motorsport, but with Caterham there wasn’t a real possibility to win races,” Van der Garde said.
“Now with JOTA there is, and again at a high level of racing. That’s what I’m aiming for: winning,
“To win the 24 hours of Le Mans isn’t even a dream; it’s my goal. Therefore I am very pleased to sign with such an established and proven team as JOTA Sport.
“This is a new chapter for me going in to endurance racing and I am sure it will be an enjoyable one.”
Drivers for the team’s effort in the WEC will be announced at a later date.
