Vincent Abril will rejoin the father-and-son pairing of Philippe and Louis Prette at the wheel of a Proton Competition-run Porsche 911 RSR in November’s FIA World Endurance Championship round in Shanghai.
The all-Monegasque lineup, which finished sixth in the GTE-Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be at the wheel of the No. 88 Dempsey Proton Racing entry for the third round of the 2019-20 WEC season.
The lineup, supported by APM Monaco, is expected to take the place of the German squad’s No. 88 Porsche, which kicked off the season with Porsche Junior Thomas Preining, Gianluca Giraudi and former GT Academy winner Ricardo Sánchez.
The entry list for Shanghai, which has been reduced to a four-hour race this year, has not yet been released.
