Matteo Cairoli and Yifei Ye have both confirmed that they will be parting ways with Porsche, ending relationships that saw the two drivers compete in top-level GT and prototype racing, respectively.
The two drivers join Dennis Olsen, who announced his departure from Porsche last week, in cutting ties with the Stuttgart-based manufacturer ahead of the 2024 season.
Cairoli will depart Porsche’s roster after a near-decade spell that began in Porsche Carrera Cup Italia and the Porsche Supercup in 2014.
He made his FIA World Endurance Championship debut in 2017, taking two GTE-Am class wins with Dempsey-Proton Racing en route to second in the championship.
The Italian would remain a mainstay of the class until the end of the 2023 season, also driving for Team Project 1.
Cairoli’s highlight of his time with Porsche came during the 2021 Nürburgring 24, when he joined Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre aboard a Manthey Racing 911 GT3 R to claim overall victory.
Ye, meanwhile, had a relationship with the Stuttgart brand through his status as a Selected Driver for Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific.
After two seasons in LMP2 after transitioning from single-seater racing, Ye stepped up to the WEC’s Hypercar class with Hertz Team JOTA to pilot the British squad’s privately-entered Porsche 963.
During his spell with the team, Ye notably led a portion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans while recording a best finish of fourth in the season-ending 8 Hours of Bahrain.
