Nick Cassidy is set to return to the FIA World Endurance Championship for the first time since 2022 as part of Peugeot’s Hypercar lineup, with the French manufacturer strongly hinting at the New Zealander’s signing on social media.

Cassidy recently finished up a two-year stint with Jaguar TCS Racing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, including a run of three consecutive wins at the end of the most recent campaign to finish runner-up in the drivers’ standings.

In a post on Instagram published on Monday, Peugeot strongly hinted at signing the 30-year-old, with a manufacturer spokesperson telling Sportscar365 that more information is due to follow ahead of the next round at Circuit of The Americas in September.

It remains unclear when exactly Cassidy would start racing for the French brand, with the Instagram post notably referencing ‘2025/2026 FIA WEC plans.’

Cassidy, whose career resume also includes titles in both SUPER GT and Super Formula, most recently competed in WEC in 2022.

He raced with AF Corse and Ferrari in the GTE-Am category alongside Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci, recording a best finish of fourth at Spa-Francorchamps.

That came as part of a brief affiliation with the Prancing Horse that also saw him drive for AF Corse in DTM alongside his world championship commitments.
