A number of other FIA World Endurance Championship teams will join the previously announced efforts from Porsche, Audi and Toyota in next month’s Rookie Test in Bahrain, with the provisional entry list for the Nov. 22 test having been released.
Fourteen cars are listed for the single-day test, to be held the day after the season-ending Six Hours of Bahrain, including a strong contingent of LMP2 and GTE machinery.
ENTRY LIST: Bahrain Rookie Test
Mitch Evans (Porsche), Richie Stanaway (Audi) and Sam Bird (Toyota) will get their first laps in a LMP1 car, having been selected by the promoter to take part in the test.
Evans, meanwhile, will be joined by Juan Pablo Montoya, who was confirmed on Tuesday to also test the Porsche 919 Hybrid.
F3 Matthew Rao is listed to test the Signatech Alpine A450b Nissan in LMP2, while fellow open-wheel ace Lewis Williamson will be in Strakka Racing’s Gibson 015S Nissan.
Fellow LMP2 outfits Team Morand, AF Racing and KCMG, as well as Team ByKolles (LMP1) are also listed to take part in the test with to-be-determined drivers.
Both factory Porsche 911 RSRs from Porsche Team Manthey and three Aston Martin Vantage V8s are also scheduled to take part.
The test will run from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 22, with the final entry list being revealed on Nov. 10.
