Laura Wontrop Klauser and Christie Bagne, GM Motorsports’ two top-level sports car racing program managers, will depart their roles following the conclusion of the year, it has been confirmed following months of paddock speculation.

Klauser, the current GM sports car racing program manager (pictured above), has been re-assigned to GM’s global hardware systems and integration team as engineering group leader, while Bagne, the Corvette GT3 program manager, will transition to corporate strategy as a senior analyst.

Keely Bosn, currently the future tech & mobility planning manager in the competitor intelligence, technology and mobility planning organization at GM, will join GM Motorsports as the Cadillac Racing program manager, effective Jan. 1.

Jessica Dane, currently the motorsports integration manager in GM Motorsports, meanwhile, will become Corvette Racing program manager for all Corvette GT3 programs worldwide.

Dane is the daughter of Roland Dane, the former owner of Triple Eight Race Engineering in Australia and recently relocated to the U.S.

A statement from GM read: “Motorsports is a platform to hone engineering and leadership skills in a fast-paced highly competitive race environment.

“Rotating team members back into production and corporate programs is part of our core ‘why we race’ mission.

“Having experience in motorsports programs helps to enrich our team members’ careers and make GM a stronger company.”

Klauser, who was named to her most recent position in 2021, was previously the program manager for both Cadillac’s ATS-V.R Pirelli World Challenge program and the Cadillac DPi prior to her promotion of overseeing all of the company’s sports car racing activities.

Among the successes under Klauser’s leadership included the inaugural IMSA GTP title with Action Express Racing in 2023, along with GTE-Am class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship title to Corvette Racing last year.

Bagne, meanwhile, had been Corvette GT3 program manager since the program’s formation, and was previously an assistant manager to Klauser dating back to 2021.
