Blake McDonald has been drafted into the TF Sport lineup for the opening two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship after Ben Keating was injured in a training accident.

Keating has suffered a broken elbow in the incident and will therefore miss both the Imola Prologue and season-opener later this month as well as May’s second event at Spa.

Fellow American McDonald will instead take his place in the No. 33 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R alongside Jonny Edgar and Nicky Catsburg for those rounds.

McDonald is no stranger to the team having joined the squad for the Asian Le Mans Series during the winter, having been runner-up in the Pro-Am class of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS last year. He is also part of TF’s European Le Mans Series lineup in the LMGT3 ranks.

TF says Keating will now undergo a recovery program to try to be fit in time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
