Attempto Racing has set its single-car lineup for this weekend’s Michelin 24H Dubai, featuring team regulars Lorenzo Patrese and Alex Aka as well as reigning event winner Zhou Bihuang.
Patrese, Aka and Bihuang will be sharing the No. 99 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II with former Audi factory driver Dennis Marschall and Chinese racer Yi Deng.
Bihuang won last year’s edition of the Middle Eastern enduro aboard an Eastalent Racing Audi and also came on top in December’s Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours, teaming with Marschall.
Patrese and Aka, meanwhile, spent the 2024 season competing with Attempto in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, with the latter finishing third in Endurance Cup.
In the last five years, Attempto retired from the 24H Dubai three times, finishing seventh in 2022 and ninth in 2020.
Audi has won the event four times, with Eastalent’s 2024 triumph adding to two previous victories by Team WRT (2016, 2022) and a 2019 victory by Car Collection Motorsport.
WRT, which will return to the event after a one-year absence with a single-car BMW effort, is expected to unveil its lineup later on Monday.
