Seven x Seven Racing will make its debut in the Michelin 24H Dubai next month, with SUPER GT GT300 champion Kiyoto Fujinami leading an-all Japanese lineup.
Fujinami, who won the 2020 and ’22 GT300 titles together with Joao Paulo de Oliveira for Kondo Racing, will spearhead the lineup for the No. 989 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which is entered in the 992 Cup class in the Middle Eastern enduro on Jan. 9-13.
Completing the lineup are Tsubasa Kondo, also a race winner in SUPER GT’s lower division, youngster Taichi Watarai and Porsche Carrera Cup Japan racer ‘Bankcy’.
All four drivers will be tackling the 24H Dubai for the first time.
Seven x Seven, formed out of Fujinami’s own KF Motorsport operation, has already made a splash in its relatively short history, most notably winning a race in the Okayama round of the SRO Japan Cup in September with Fujinami and ‘Bankcy’ (pictured top).
In addition, it took ‘Bankcy’ to second in the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan Am standings this year, and also took a class win in the equivalent Middle East series last month in Qatar.
Seven x Seven is joined by another Japanese team in the 992 Cup class, the Tomonobu Fujii-owned JBR operation, which has yet to announce details of its entry.
