Ram Racing’s Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, driven by Tom Onslow-Cole, Adam Christodoulou and Paul White, leads the Hankook 12H Italy-Mugello after four hours.

The No. 30 Mercedes finished the first part of the race, 15.950 seconds ahead of the No. 7 HB Racing Team Herberth Porsche 997 GT3 R, which led the race twice.

Fifteen minutes from the end of part one of the race the No. 66 Black Pearl Racing by Rinaldi Ferrari 458 Italia spun off, while trying to catch the Ram Racing Mercedes that was in the pit.

The spin meant the former race leader dropped to third place, albeit still on the lead lap and therefore still in contention for race victory when the race continues tomorrow.

GDL Racing’s No. 67 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 ended the first part in fourth place, the last car finishing on the lead lap.

Max Braams took the lead early into the final hour, before handing over to his father Luc and handing the race lead back to Ram Racing.

Scuderia Praha’s Ferrari 458 Italia is fifth, despite losing time having to be towed from the gravel trap early in the race, while Ruffier Racing’s Porsche 991 Cup is sixth overall and leads the 997 class.

The first part of the 12H Italy-Mugello saw two Code 60s. The No. 87 GDL Racing Porsche crashing out of the race brought out the first one, a spin into the gravel for the No. 31 Duller Motorsport BMW M3 E46 caused the second one.

At 9.30 am local time the 12H Italy-Mugello will get underway again for the remaining eight hours of racing.
