Creventic and Porsche Motorsport have announced a second edition of the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport, set for Sept. 5-6 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
A collaborative project between Dutch promoter Creventic, Porsche Motorsport and Michelin, the inaugural 992 Endurance Cup was held earlier this year at the home of the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, as a continuous 12-hour endurance race for Type-992 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.
With an agreement in place, the second edition will take place on Sept. 6, with official practice and qualifying sessions set for the day prior.
Entries will be opened soon to national and international teams running the latest-generation Porsche Cup race car.
“We are very excited that the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport will return for a second edition in September 2025,” said series manager David Vink.
“This year’s 12-hour race was a landmark event for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), and proved that the incredibly close racing synonymous with Porsche’s sprint races can transition seamlessly to endurance racing.
“We believe, with the continued confidence of Porsche Motorsport and Michelin Tires, that the 992 Endurance Cup can become a hallmark event for Porsche customers in the years to come.”
Oliver Koppen, manager Porsche one-make series and GT sport added: “After the very positive feedback we received from customers that participated in the first edition of the event in September, we are happy to continue the project and to work with Creventic on an even better customer for the second edition.
“It has been proven many times over that the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup excels as much in endurance racing as it does in sprint racing and we are excited to hopefully seeing an even greater number of cars on the grid in 2025.”
Black Falcon scored overall victory at the inaugural 992 Endurance Cup following a race-long battle with the pole-sitting Max Kruse Racing entry.
