Herberth Motorsport’s Ralf Bohn overtook the HAAS RT No. 21 car for the lead in the final hour, but chose to pit for fuel in the final minutes after a late-race Code 60.
All of the cars will be kept under parc fermé conditions until the race restarts on Sunday. Herberth Motorsport chose to sacrifice the lead to take on more fuel ahead of the final six-and-a-half hours of the race.
The No. 91 Herberth Porsche 911 GT3 R came home in third place overall and first in the GT3-Pro/Am class.
The sole Ferrari 296 GT3 of Era Motorsport crossed the line in fourth at the end of the day’s racing.
Jake Hill started in ninth in the No. 81 Era Motorsport car. The former British Touring Car champion made a strong charge up the field to fourth position in the opening 30 minutes.
The Ferrari then dropped down the pack before Ryan Dalziel fought back up to fourth in the final stint of the day.
Sainteloc Junior Team rounded out the top five with its No. 18 Audi.
The pole-sitting No. 28 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of GetSpeed Team PCX Racing led from the start with Maro Engel at the wheel, but dropped back to 14th by the time the flag waved.
The No. 909 Red Camel-Jordans.nl led the 992 Class ahead of the Mühlner Motorsport No. 921 entry.
In GTX, Dinamic Motorsport’s Maserati MC20 GT2 led at the flag.
Despite a driveshaft issue for Not Only Motorsport, its Ligier JS2 R took the TCE-TCX class lead in the final hour over asBest Motorsport.
