Mercedes has released the first image of its new AMG GT3 car, which will officially launch at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The German sports car, which replaces the outgoing SLS AMG GT3, will debut in GT3 championships worldwide next year, with testing expected to begin shortly.

The image follows two artist renderings of the car, which was released last week in the build up to its launch.
