This weekend’s Blancpain GT World Challenge America round at Sonoma Raceway will feature a 19-car field, following a return to strength for the GT3 extended-sprint race series.

The entry list for the fourth round of the season features the return of TR3 Racing, Squadra Corse Garage Italia, One11 Competition and Stephen Cameron Racing, which were all absent in last month’s event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

GMG Racing, which took part in the opening round of the season at Circuit of The Americas, has also returned, with a GT3 Pro-Am class Porsche 911 GT3 entry for James Sofronas and Porsche factory driver Dirk Werner.

Guy Cosmo and Patrick Byrne are in the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3, which is also making its first start since COTA, while defending GTA champion Martin Fuentes and co-driver Caesar Bacarella are back in the No. 07 Hublot-sponsored Ferrari.

GT veteran Andy Lally, meanwhile, is set for his Ferrari debut with the returning One11 team, alongside Christopher Cagnazzi in the No. 19 entry.

Close Title Fight Entering Second Half of Season

Following their win and runner-up finish at CTMP, R. Ferri Motorsport’s Toni Vilander and Miguel Molina have retaken the lead of the drivers’ championship and sit just 1 point ahead of the K-PAX Racing duo of Alvaro Parente and Andy Soucek.

Parente and Soucek’s teammates Rodrigo Baptista and Maxime Soulet are a further 12 points behind in third.

GT3 Pro-Am sees Racer Edge Motorsports’ Kyle Marcelli and Martin Barkey with a 23-point lead over Till Bechtolsheimer, who will again pair with Marc Miller in the Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo this weekend.

Fuentes and Bacarella, meanwhile, still hold command of GT3 Am, despite missing CTMP.

On-track action begins on Thursday with a pair of test sessions, followed by practice on Friday and the 90-minute races set for Saturday and Sunday.
