Raffaele Marciello crashed in Warmup at Spa on Friday afternoon, ruling his Mercedes-AMG Team AKKA ASP car out of Super Pole.
The Italian hit the tire barriers on the exit of Les Combes, halting the 30-minute session, and got out of the No. 88 car under his own power.
The car sustained heavy front-end and side damage and won’t take part in Super Pole, so qualifies in 20th position.
It is unclear if the car will be repaired in time for the race, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m. local time on Saturday.
Marciello shares the Race Scout-sponsored entry with Tristan Vautier and Daniel Juncadella and was set to be the ninth driver to take part in Super Pole after they set the 12th quickest combined time in qualifying on Thursday.
Audi Sport Team WRT set the quickest time in Warmup with a 2:20.563 from its No. 2 Audi R8 LMS GT3 driven by Robin Frijns, Nico Mueller and Rene Rast.
Super Pole will get underway at 6:47 p.m. with the remaining 19 cars.
