A modified Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR, sporting bodywork reminiscent to a Volkswagen Beetle, has been confirmed as the 73rd and final entry for the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

Set to race in the invitational class, the car, nicknamed “Juliet” has been granted an entry by SRO Motorsports Group to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Herbie “The Love Bug” film, which was released in 1969.

Maxime Martin completed the first laps in the modified GT3 Cup car during Wednesday’s second and final day of official testing for the race.

The project, led by local car specialist Michel Deman and former driver Pascal Witmeur, will be raising money to support the VivaCité (RTBF) “Viva for Life” project and “Kinderarmoedefonds.be” charities.

Drivers for the car have yet to be announced.
