Darren Turner will join the British GT Championship field as Beechdean AMR returns to the series with a single Aston Martin Vantage GT3 entry.
The 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans GTE-Pro winner becomes the fourth Aston Martin Racing factory driver confirmed in the series this season.
Jonny Adam was previously announced in Optimum Motorsport’s new program while Marco Sorensen and Nicki Thiim will join TF Sport.
Turner will drive alongside Beechdean team owner Andrew Howard in the team’s return to the series after a one-year hiatus.
Howard won the GT3 title in 2013 and 2015, both while driving alongside Adam, while Howard, Turner and Alex MacDowall won the European Le Mans Series GTE title in 2016.
“It has been a long time since I’ve raced at many of the circuits on the British GT Championship calendar,” said Turner.
“British GT has been booming for many years now and the depth of competition this year is equal to many of the international championships.
“I’m looking forward to sharing a car with Andrew again. It has been a lot of fun competing with Beechdean in the European Le Mans Series over the past two years and I know we have the potential to win races this year.”
