Sofronas Paces Second Long Beach Practice

James Sofronas remained on top of the time charts in GT America powered by AWS at Long Beach, thanks to late charge in his GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in second practice.

Sofronas reeled off a 1:19.878 in the closing moments of the 30-minute session to edge out the No. 80 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Elias Sabo by 0.441 seconds.

Mirco Schultis was third quickest in his Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R, while Blake McDonald and Justin Rothberg completed the top-five for DXDT Racing and Turner Motorsport, respectively.

GT2 saw Adrian Kunzle set the fastest time in his MLT Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, while CJ Moses got his first laps of the weekend in his No. 58 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT2.

Jason Holt, meanwhile, continued to lead the way in the GT4 class in his No. 188 Fast Track Racing BMW M4 GT4.

Qualifying is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. PST (7:35 p.m. EST).
