Flying Lizard Motorsports has expanded its stable by announcing a partnership with Nissan that will see the team field the Z GT4 in Pirelli GT4 America.
The Arizona-based squad, which will already be fielding an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for Todd Parriott and Tom Dyer, will also enter the No. 5 Nissan for the all-Canadian pairing of Damir Hot and Stefan Rzadzinski.
The entry will be supported by Applewood Auto Group, an automotive company with a dealership network for several brands, including Nissan, in the Vancouver area.
“This is a really exciting program for us this year,” said program manager Darren Law.
“I have been speaking with Nissan for quite a while and happy we were able to put this program together.
“Stefan and I initially discussed him joining our team late last year and when this opportunity came up it was a great fit.
“His teammate Damir has been putting in a lot of seat time over the off-season and we are looking forward to watching his progress this year.
“Having Darren Graham of Applewood Auto Group on board is a key part of our operation and I am looking forward to growing this relationship.
“We have a lot to do before the start of the season as this is a very new program, but as always, Flying Lizard is up for the challenge.”
In addition to their new Nissan partnership, Flying Lizard will still enter an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo for Elias Sabo and Andy Lee in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, while Jason Bell is also behind the wheel of Aston Martin machinery in GT America powered by AWS.
