Marco Polo Motorsports will pause its racing activity for next year, citing business and family commitments, it has been announced.

The development comes after the team skipped October’s Pirelli GT4 America season-ending rounds at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in order to focus on 2026 preparations.

The Jeff Elghanayan-owned team, which returned to the SRO America paddock this year with a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, has now ruled out a program for next year altogether.

However, it has stated that it will plan to return in 2027, still aligned with service provider Chicago Performance and Tuning, which is now “actively seeking” a program for next year according to team principal Al Uscinski.

“First off we’d like to thank Jeff and the whole MPM crew for trusting us to take over their race operations mid-year to see out their 2025 campaign,” said Uscinski.

“The transition had its normal bumps, but I couldn’t be happier with the way the two entities integrated and the boost in results we were able to earn together quickly.

“Our goal now is keeping the core team together and finding the best way to run in 2026, not just for ourselves but also for MPM’s return in 2027.

“With MPM taking their break, we have Mads [Siljehaug, driver] ready and available to co-drive, and without our normal extensive MPM testing, Mads and the whole team are potentially available for most of 2026 for other programs as well.

“We’re a growing team, we’re hungry and ready to provide factory levels of support to any and all customers. So, we’re open to conversations. There’s room for the right program to step in and make something special out of 2026.”

The Chicago-area based team took over MPM’s GT4 America program from Muellerized mid-season, missing the rounds at Sebring International Raceway as a result.

“Taking over the MPM program was one of the most rewarding projects we’ve had at CPT,” said team manager Chris Lester. “We’ve been focusing mainly on club racing and providing KTM with X-BOW market support over the last couple of years, but in reality our team is made up of champions.

“Our mechanics and engineers are mostly ex-factory guys from all over the paddock and the world.

“Even though we haven’t earned one as a collective, I know that we’re a championship-level outfit and can stack up with anyone. Combine that with Mads in the car, and we actually have a unique opportunity for someone to join the team and fight for the title.”

Lester said they’re targeting to either remain in GT4 America or potentially step up to GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, which will feature three-hour races next year.

“Options [are] actively explored in both series,” he added.
