The No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport has inherited victory in the first Pirelli GT4 America race of the weekend at Sebring International Raceway after the No. 23 TechSport Racing Nissan Z NISMO GT4 flunked post-race technical inspection following Saturday’s round.

Announced on Sunday morning, the Michai Stephens and Jonathan Neudorf-driven Nissan did not meet the minimum weight as outlined by SRO Motorsports Group’s Balance of Performance for the GT4 platform.

A pre-race BoP change was made to both the Nissan and Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVOs on Saturday, which saw the Nissan gain 20 kg from its configuration at the start of the weekend.

As a result of the infraction, the No. 23 Nissan has been moved to the last finishing position of the race, with no points awarded for either the drivers or the team.

It has handed the Race 1 win to John Capestro-Dubets and Eric Filgueiras, who finished ahead of the No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota pairing of Parker Thompson and Daniel Hanley, which has now finished second in class.

Race 2 for GT4 America is scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT this afternoon, with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
