Eric Filgueiras led the way in the first Pirelli GT4 America practice session of the weekend at Circuit of The Americas in preparation for tomorrow’s first-ever three-hour endurance race.
The RS1 driver took his Silver class points-leading No. 28 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to a best lap of 2:14.781, edging out the No. 97 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Kenton Koch by 0.180 seconds.
Rodrigo Baptista was third overall and quickest in Pro-Am in the No. 5 Flying Lizard Motorsports Nissan Z NISMO GT4, followed by Kay van Berlo in the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche.
The No. 51 AutoTechnic Racing BMW of Zac Anderson and Colin Garrett completed the top-five.
The No. 188 Fast Track Racing BMW was quickest of the Am class competitors.
