Jesse Webb and Parker Thompson have claimed pole positions for this weekend’s pair of Pirelli GT4 America races at Sebring International Raceway.
Webb, in the No. 34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4, recorded a best lap time of 2:10.619 in Qualifying 1 to edge out fellow Silver class competitor Harry Gottsacker by 0.059 seconds.
Matt Travis qualified third overall and was the quickest of the Pro-Am class competitors in his No. 47 Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
The No. 58 ACI Motorsports Porsche of Richard Edge, meanwhile, picked up top qualifying honors in the Am class with his 12th place overall run in Q1.
Q2 saw Thompson, who won Friday’s NOLA make-up race, storm to a 2:09.670 in his No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO, outpacing the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Kenton Koch by 0.276 seconds.
Roman De Angelis scored Pro-Am class pole with the third quickest time in the No. 24 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4, with Jasen Lander putting Krugspeed on top in the Am class.
Race 1 is set for a 5 p.m. EDT start time with Race 2 on Sunday at 10:50 a.m., both of which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
