Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm have come out on top in Saturday’s Pirelli GT4 America round at Sebring International Raceway, which ended yellow.

A heavy crash for the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO of John Geesbreght on the initial race restart with seven minutes to go triggered a three-way scrap for the lead between Koch, Parker Thompson and Zac Anderson.

Koch, in the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4, was classified in the lead at the time of the race-ending yellow after taking the restart in fourth.

It came after an early race spin for Boehm after contact with the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW of John Capestro-Dubets while battling in Turn 1 that had put the Random Vandals BMW outside of the top-ten.

The 60-minute race saw four full-course cautions for various incidents.

Anderson finished second, followed by Thompson in the No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota in third and the No. 34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb, who led the opening stanza of the race.

Pro-Am class honors went to the No. 47 Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Jason Hart and Matt Travis, while ACI Motorsports’ Matt Halcome and Richard Edge picked up the win in Am.

A fourth place class finish for James Clay and Charlie Postins, meanwhile, has seen the duo clinch the season-long Am championship with three races still to spare.

Race 2 gets underway Sunday at 10:50 a.m. EDT with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
