Emil Frey Racing has delayed the addition of a second Jaguar GT3 until the Total 24 Hours of Spa next month, and will compete at Paul Ricard this weekend with one car.

The team was originally planning on entering the second car at Paul Ricard and Spa, but instead it will wait until the 24 hour race.

However, it has revealed an all-star lineup in the Spa-only car, with Jonathan Hirschi, Markus Palttala and Christian Klien set to compete in it.

Hirschi has previously raced with Emil Frey at the 24 Hours of Spa over the last two years, while Palttala is the defending winner of the race.

“We’re thrilled to extend our driver line-up with such prominent additions,” said technical director Jürg Flach.

“With that, we’ll have two irons in the fire from the next race onwards, the 24 hour race at Spa-Francorchamps. The reconstructed racing car and additional driving team are ready to take on the rollout shortly.

“But to start off with, our main aim is to grab as many points as possible and a good finish in France.”

An unchanged trio of Lorenz Frey, Stephane Ortelli and Albert Costa will continue in the No. 14 Jaguar at this weekend’s Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km.

“Our main aim is to turn the car’s existing potential into a quantifiable race result, and to reap the rewards of the team’s hard work, day in, day out,” said driver and team manager Lorenz Frey.
