The Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs competing in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour have been given a 15 kg weight increase after qualifying for Sunday’s race, according to information provided to Sportscar365 from SRO Motorsports Group.

Audis swept all but one of the available track sessions in the build-up to the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season-opener, while Chaz Mostert and Kelvin van der Linde made it a front-row lockout for the German manufacturer in qualifying.

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos, meanwhile, have been made 5 kg lighter than they were for qualifying.

The changes bring the Audi contingent up to a minimum weight of 1320 kg and the Mercedes-AMG down to the same figure.

Furthermore, a 10 kg weight break has been applied to the sole Porsche 911 GT3 R in the field from Grove Racing.

Rounding out the adjustments, the Wall Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo has been made 5 kg lighter.

The Bathurst 12 Hour gets underway at 5:15 a.m. local time.
