Auto Technic BMW Declared Sunday Winner in Photo Finish

Results from Pirelli GT4 America reversed despite timing and scoring data showing otherwise…

John Capestro-Dubets and Zac Anderson have been declared winners of Sunday’s Pirelli GT4 America race at NOLA Motorsports Park following an apparent review of footage from the photo finish.

Timing and scoring confirmed Capestro-Dubets had taken the checkered flag 0.004 seconds behind the No. 34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michai Stephens.

However, the results were reversed post-race, with the No. 51 Auto Technic BMW M4 GT4 being confirmed as the race winner in the final race results by 0.001 seconds.

SRO America has yet to provide Sportscar365 with a statement on the reasoning for the reversal of the results.
