RS1’s Stevan McAleer and Eric Filgueiras claimed overall victory in Sunday’s Pirelli GT4 America season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while the Nolasport duo of Jason Hart and Scott Noble emerged as the Pro-Am class champions.

McAleer took the already clinched Silver class championship-winning No. 18 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to a 0.251-second win over the No. 34 Conquest Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michai Stevens following a two-lap shootout after a late-race yellow and restart.

The Scot took over the lead following the round of pit stops, getting by the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Austen Smith out the out lap with 26 minutes to go.

Smith, along with a half-dozen other cars, were forced to serve drive-through penalties for exceeding the minimum pit stop time, which shook up the running order in the 60-minute contest.

Ross Chouest capitalized on an incident between Tom Capizzi and James Walker Jr. to take the Pro-Am class win in his No. 50 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 alongside co-driver Aaron Povoledo.

Am honors in the race went to the No. 53 Auto Technic Racing BMW of Rob Walker and Alex Filsinger, which finished sixth overall.

The Pro-Am championship was essentially decided at the start after all three title contenders spun in a chaotic opening lap incident that ended in retirement for the No. 120 Premier Racing Porsche of Elliott Skeer.

Skeer and co-driver Adam Adelson entered the race four points behind Nolasport duo of Hart and Noble, who drove to a sixth place class finish.

It marked the second consecutive Pro-Am title for the team and Hart.

RESULTS: Race 2
